EASTER BUNNY RUN 28TH APRIL - POOLSBROOK

This year the Easter Bunny run will be on Sunday 28th April and meeting at Poolsbrook Country Park near Staveley, post code is S43 3WL. We will meet at 9.00am.

Everyone who runs gets an egg, spectators welcome there is an excellent café serving a range of snacks for anyone who is hungry.

Roche Abbey Running Festival

In May a few of our members will be running the Roche Abbey Running festival, places are filling up fast.

Anyone who hasn't taken part before, you get cake at the end and a beer or cider in your goody bag! Aside from this it is also a lovely run which goes through the scenic Roche Abbey. Starting and finishing at the excellent, Traveller's Rest in Brookhouse.

2019 Membership fees

We agreed the membership fees at our AGM in March. Effective from 1st April 2019, the fees are as follows:

£12 per adult member

Additional £15 to be an affiliated member of English Athletics to enter races including Road Race League and Cross-country

£6 for seniors (60+)

Fees for circuit training are paid weekly.

The fees are decided at the AGM in February and so amounts may change afterwards to reflect increase in costs such as English Athletics.


club kIT

Anyone wishing to order kit, we have some existing stock for sale including:
  • Long sleeve shirt in small and medium, £7
  • Hoody in medium £12
  • Short sleeve t-shirts in sizes extra-small to large £5
  • Vests in men's medium and ladies in small or medium £5

If you like any new kit, please ask Lynsey or a committee member.

Grand prix

If you don't already have a form, you can download a copy of the grand prix form here. Members are asked to make a note of any races they have entered and hand in their forms to a committee member in October. There is a prize for the male and female, awarded at the awards evening. The aim is to enter the most races and be the first person back, 10 points for first male and female back, then 5 points for any other runners.
